FAQ

Why is the Global Leadership Program significant today?
The Global Leadership Program is the first program of its kind in the country to focus on the specific skills today’s students need to succeed in a competitive global economy.  Careers spanning politics, diplomacy, research, and business require cross-cultural competence--the skills and knowledge associated with an individual’s effectiveness in communicating and working with individuals and organizations across borders. The Global Leadership Program is designed to focus on the specific and transferable skills needed to be competitive in both college and careers.

How are the Global Leadership Program and Virtual Intercultural Avenues related?
Virtual Intercultural Avenues (VIA) is a virtual international consortium of schools, administrators, teachers, and students. VIA connects students both virtually and in person through group and individual ground exchanges. The Global Leadership Program is a formal four year academy at EHS that includes globally-focused coursework, internships, and activities. EHS students may access the VIA consortium to receive additional academic credit, leadership development experience, and recognition for their unique pursuit of international experiences.
